INTRAPULMONARY IMMATURE TERATOMA; A RARE ENTITY WITH REVIEW OF LITERATURE

Background: Teratomas are tumors composed of tissues derived from more than one germ cell line. Intrapulmonary teratomas is very rare disease. Case characterstics: 16-year-old male presented with dyspnea at rest, cough, intermittent fever, and recurrent chest infections. Observation: Large ill defined mass lesion showing soft tissue and fat component with multiple scattered calcified foci occupying almost whole of right hemithorax. Message: The diagnosis rely on the radiologic imaging. Trichoptysis is the only clinical feature that can be diagnostic. Surgical removal is the curative treatment.
