The Olympic games ended...The Radiology Olympics continue!

The excitement continues!

After several exciting weeks of Winter Olympic games, we continue the excitement of competition! But not on a sports level but on an intellectual/radiological level. March 1, 2014 we will begin a new award system!

The most diligent case contributors will be plastered with great awards!

Here are some highlights from the report:

  • Almost half of large hospitals interviewed indicated that they will be making a new EMR purchase by 2016, but only 22 percent of those buying decisions may still be up for grabs.
  • Of the providers considering a change, 34 percent have already selected a vendor and another 44 percent are strongly leaning toward a specific vendor.
  • As part of this study, KLAS interviewed 277 providers from large hospitals (200+ beds) across the U.S. Providers gave feedback on which vendors they are considering, why they are considering them and what their timelines look like for making these purchases.

KLAS is announcing a press release today about a new report entitled, "Weathering Change: Merge Healthcare Imaging Suite 2014." Here are some highlights from the report:
 

  • Despite recent challenges and leadership changes, Merge, according to providers, is performing stronger than ever before.
  • KLAS spoke with 147 Merge customers to gather insight on how Merge is performing, including 31 of Merge's key customers.
  • Of those 31 key customers, the majority reported that they planned to add new Merge modules and solutions within the next two years.

KLAS uncovers which vendors are winning, which are losing and why

Orem, UT - November 5, 2013 - The community CIS market is quickly turning into a replacement market as an increasing number of organizations move to electronic medical records. This, according to a recent KLAS report entitled Community Hospital CIS Market Share 2013: Moving Forward without Leaders.

Why do providers buy a particular product? The KLAS report found that the two key points of purchase are integration and price, while functionality, ease of use and service take a back seat.

KLAS speaks to providers around the world to capture their experience with Cerner Millennium PowerChart

Orem, UT - October 31, 2013 - Healthcare providers outside of the United States cite functionality and support as the top reasons that Cerner Millennium PowerChart exceeds their expectations notwithstanding high costs and contracting concerns. This information is shared in the latest KLAS report, entitled Cerner Global Performance 2013: A Detailed Look Outside the United States.

Furthermore, respondents to the study unanimously report that PowerChart is part of their long-term plans.

"What is interesting about this study is the consistency of the user experience," said Chris Brown, report author. "Regardless of providers' country or language, they consistently score PowerChart within a five-point range. This is especially noteworthy considering Cerner's global reach."
