Lung Disease of the newborn:

HMD = low lung volumes and granular opacities (Rx: Surfactant).

TTN = non-intubated. Mobilizing fluid with large volumes, airspace and interstitial, pleural fluid.

Meconium Aspiration: Chunky opacities with air trapping.

Check the humeral epiphysis centre of CXR, most term infants will have one at birth. If not, can still be term but raises the possibility of pre term infants, which narrows your differentials for lung disease of newborn.
