    Lymphoma is a malignancy arising from lymphocytes or lymphoblasts.



    Pathology



    Lymphomas are currently classified according to the WHO classification of neoplastic diseases of the lymphoid tissues which also includes leukaemias. The main division is into:

    • Hodgkin lymphoma

    • B cell lymphoma

    • T cell lymphoma



    Additionally it is worth, especially for radiologists, dividing lymphomas according to the location

    • central nervous system - brain / spine

    o CNS lymphoma

     primary CNS lymphoma

     secondary CNS lymphoma

    o lymphoma of the spinal cord

    • orbital lymphoma

    • thyroid lymphoma

    • mediastinal lymphoma

    • pulmonary lymphoma

    • gastrointestinal lymphoma

    o gastric lymphoma

    o pancreatic lymphoma

    o small bowel lymphoma

    o large bowel lymphoma

    • skeletal lymphoma

    • genitourinary lymphoma

    o uterine lymphoma

    o cervical lymphoma

    o vaginal lymphoma

    o testicular lymphoma
