Dr. Phillip Silberberg is passionate about International Educational Outreach in Radiology and Medicine in the developing world. Previously together with the SPR International Outreach Committee, he has maximized the utility offered by MyPACS.net, using it for Educational Outreach in Radiology and Medicine (see http://www.mypacs.net/repos/mpv3_repo/static/m/About/outreach.htm).
A lecture by Dr. Phillip Silberberg, MD, "Developing World Medical And Radiology Educational Outreach: Exchanging Images, Videos And Audio," containing opinions and educational content, will be uploaded to YouTube in the near future (and the url added here when it is available).
Dr. Silberberg is now working very closely with GlobalMedia telemedicine (www.globalmedia.com) where is he is an advisory board member. He is facilitating taking units with telemedicine, telepathology and hand held ultrasound probes to the developing world and will be trying to utilize this technology, pooled expertise from "1st World Physicians" to help raise the standard of care of the "have-nots" and "have-lesses" in the developing world.
