Northeastern, a co-op school based in Boston, MA provided me with a great education and the chance to accelerate my career. During the five-year program I studied Criminal Justice and minored in Business Communications. As part of the co-op program, I was able to work with a Boston Law Firm, a NYC Medical Advertising Agency, AT&T, Johnson & Johnson Medical and General Electric. GE Lighting hired me before graduation.

The publication is directed to physicians, and in particular, a community of 24,000+ US-based radiologists. In addition to the development of the journal each month we also develop customized educational and marketing programs on behalf of healthcare companies attempting to reach this audience and others within the healthcare arena.

I joined Elsevier Science, the STM publishing division of Reed Elsevier as a Sr. Account Executive responsible for managing the subscription sales of their publications to educational institutions and companies in the Mid-Atlantic States. I was later promoted to managing the US Pharma & Bio Tech Market exclusively. Simultaneously, Elsevier Science introduced a new electronic (online) publishing platform called ScienceDirect. ScienceDirect changed the way government agenices, companies and educational institutions were able to access information from thousands journals under the Elsevier brand . I focused my efforts on introducing and licensing ScienceDirect to all the major pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in the US.

Hired upon completion of a six-month internship during my last year of university. I was directly responsible for a $20M territory, (NH,VT, ME) which included the management of 25+ individual and multi-location electrical distributers who carried the GE Lighting brand on consignment. Specific activities included uncovering new end users for GE Lighing Products, introduction of new products and technology to distributors, which included training their sales people and assisting them in selling the product to their customer base.

This position provided me with an introduction to brand management, product development, R&D, packaging design, distribution, public relations, product launch and much more.
